Article: Gaining Value from Device Platforms

Leading Scientists Effectively: AfR CEO to Participate in PMinLS Panel on January 29

Action for Results, Inc. CEO, Tarja (Mottram) Huuskonen, will be participating in a panel discussion at the year’s first meeting of the Project Management in Life Science (PMinLS) group, taking place on January 29, 2016 in Lake Forest, IL. Tarja first met the PMLS audience last year, when this Greater Chicago area professional organization was just starting out. Since then the PMinLS organization has grown its membership as it continues to focus on topics that are chosen and prioritized by the members.

One of those topics is how to effectively bridge the communication and cultural differences between scientists and project managers, to build effective collaboration and accountability for execution. This can be particularly challenging depending on the type of project and individual backgrounds and expectations.

Among the key questions to be explored during the panel discussion are:

  • What are the foundational factors that can make or break the collaboration?
  • How does the PM establish their credibility and appropriate authority in the scientific community?

To register for the meeting or to find our more about PMinLS, visit their website at pminls.com.

PMinLS is a group of individual volunteers, working in pharma, medical device, and/or biotech world. PMinLS provides an environment to expand and strengthen project management capabilities in the Northern Illinois area.
